Shotokan Karate of America and affiliate members from all over the country and world traveled to the Shotokan Ohshima Dojo this past weekend for godan testing and Ohshima Sensei’s 88th birthday celebration. Also, on the Saturday the 62nd annual Nisei week tournament and exhibition was held at Cal Tech in Pasadena.

Five members from the Chapel Hill dojo made the trip, including dojo leader Rob Clark who was promoted to the rank of Godan (5th degree)! A result hard earned from decades of hard training and dedication to SKA.
